And we're about to answer. I'm your host, the Master of Creep. Well, hello there, folks. It is I, the Master of Creep. This week we're talking about Bigfoot and the fact that he's been seen in all four corners of the earth. I think you'll find this to be a very interesting episode. Speaker 1:Bigfoot is a phenomenon that is usually associated with forest or deep woods and mountainous regions. Most sightings occur when people are camping or hunting. Male and female Bigfoots have been reported for hundreds of years, but the name is more recent than that. The term Bigfoot was a nickname that loggers in Northern California gave to the beast. In 1958, they discovered his footprints and the name Bigfoot was born. This was publicized when Andrew Ginzoli, a journalist for the Humboldt Times, reported on the footprints, and at the time he thought this made a good Sunday morning story. But because the article was so popular, ginzoli and fellow Humboldt Times journalist Betty Allen published follow-up articles about the footprints and reported the names the loggers had given to the so-called creature who left the tracks as Bigfoot, and so a legend was born. It was reported that the TV show Truth or Consequences offered $1,000 to anyone who could prove the existence of Bigfoot.
Speaker 1:Bigfoot has been spotted on all seven continents Asia, africa, north and South America, antarctica, europe and even Australia. However, these creatures have been spotted way before they became known as Bigfoot. He has many different names, such as Sasquatch and Yeti or Geek, or the Big Hairy Guy and Yeti or Geek or the Big Hairy Guy. Bigfoot in Asia. Monday, june 30th. The year was 2003. Cnn reporting that Chinese authorities are investigating several apparent sightings of the legendary ape-like beast at a nature reserve in the central Hubei province in east-central China. Hubei is spelled H-U-B-E-I. It was reported by six people, one of them being a journalist. It happened as six people were riding together in a vehicle. While going around the corner, they saw the beast run across the road. By the time they exited the vehicle, the hairy guy was gone. Several footprints were found, plus, they could still smell the beast.
Speaker 1:Bigfoot, also known as Yeti, or better known as the Abominable Snowman, is a mysterious bipedal creature said to have lived in the mountains of Asia. He's been spotted many times in the region of the Himalayan mountains. The creature is estimated to be about 300 pounds and only about 6 feet tall. This is much smaller than the American Bigfoot. Bigfoot spotted in Africa, in Nisna, south Africa, and that's spelled K-N-Y-S-N-A. The indigenous forest people refer to Bigfoot as Otang. Otang has been spotted many times in the forest and these people understand him to be real, not just a folktale. Even scientists such as Jane Goodall and Dr George Schaller and Professor Jeff Meldrum say that they are open-minded about the Otang stories and that it could be a creature living in the forest, a creature that has not yet been classified.
Speaker 1:Bigfoot spotted in North America. Bigfoot in the United States and Canada have been the subject of many books and articles. Forbes magazine has an article stating that the televised expedition known as In Search of Bigfoot may prove the elusive beast is real. Bigfoot is more popular in the United States than anywhere else on Earth. Several thousand sightings have been reported over the past 60 years, with the majority of them coming from the Pacific Northwest area, northern California, oregon and Washington.
Speaker 1:In the mid-1970s, a man named Peter Byrne made a name for himself as the world's most prominent researcher of Bigfoot. Peter was given a sample of hair that was thought to be from Bigfoot. He filed an official request for the FBI to analyze the hair. They accepted the request and conducted a laboratory analysis, but they never released the results. So why did it take the FBI more than 40 years to release its findings? Is this the same FBI that told us that the Roswell, new Mexico UFO crash in 1947 was a weather balloon? I think by now you can admit that the FBI is not the most trusted agency in America.
Speaker 1:In Canada, a series of howls and shrieks recorded in the Canadian wilderness have left a hunter and a government biologist searching for explanations. Gino Mikas was out hunting with his wife and grandson. They were in the forest of northwestern Ontario and they heard and recorded a series of eerie noises in the distance. This was no animal that Gino has ever encountered before and he had hunted all of his life in this area. When he heard the sound, he first thought it was a moose, but quickly changed his mind after a second scream. But quickly changed his mind after a second scream. Gino decided to use his cell phone and video record this incident. You can actually hear the sounds yourself, as Gino and his family were making a mad dash toward their car. This is the actual sound that Gino heard that day.

You can barely hear the sounds because they were in the background. So what I did was I took the sounds and I amplified it with software so that you can hear the actual screams of the Bigfoot. Bigfoot spotted in South America In 1925, explorer Colonel Percy Fawcett reported enormous hairy savages that were using bows and arrows and they fired upon his men.
Speaker 1:These creatures are called Markoski it's spelled M-A-R-I-C-O-X-I and these are reported as ape-man creatures, ranging from dwarfs up to 12 feet tall. They spoke to each other using just grunting sounds and soon after this report, colonel Fawcett disappeared and was never found. Bigfoot on the Amazon River. On the Amazon River, bigfoot is known as Mopengari. I'm going to spell that for you it's M-A-P-I-N-G-U-A-R-I. I spell this for you so you can do your own research and look up this name. It's said to be related to our northern American Bigfoot. These beasts are described as having a body of a giant bear but backward-turned clawed feet like a giant armadillo. The face appears to be a monkey or even human-like. It's been reported that this creature has a thunderous yell and wherever he goes, there's a cloud of flying beetles that follow him. Some reports the Mapa Glory has two eyes and other people claim that he only has one eye, like a cyclops. Some variations mention a gaping, sinking mouth and the monstrous belly which he uses to consume humans unfortunate enough to cross his path. The folklore here is full of tales of close encounters with this Bigfoot. Stories are so widespread and so consistent in their details that in recent years a few scientists have organized expeditions to try to find this beast. David Orian, a Harvard and Yale trained biologist, thinks that this beast is not only real, but actually a living species of a giant ground sloth believed to be extinct for more than 8,000 years.
Speaker 1:Bigfoot in Antarctica In 2005,. Nexus Magazine article draws attention to polar men encountered in 1945. This was before the term Bigfoot was ever used to describe the human-like beast. Standing 8 to 10 feet tall, these monsters had all the hallmarks of a typical Bigfoot, with the hairy body and the strong bad smell. It was reported that one of these beasts was actually killed and analyzed and determined to be a human, with excess hair and an oversized body. This was at the end of the Second World War and the only people on Antarctica were military personnel from several countries. Most of this information was covered up or classified as top secret.

You can watch as two Russian kids were following a set of Bigfoot prints in the snow, but then they come face to face with the hairy monster. Watch as Bigfoot runs away. Now this was a National Geographic feature and the images were caught on a cell phone video.
Speaker 1:Bigfoot in Australia. There are several books available on Amazon about the Australian Yowie that's also known as Bigfoot. One such book is the Yowie in Search of Australia's Bigfoot. The Yowie is described as a big, 7 to 12 foot hairy creature. He is reported to have a flat looking nose nose and, of course, very large feet. Witnesses in Australia says the beast is extremely shy, but others claim that he is very aggressive and dangerous.
